Thanks Karen!!! What a revelation! I love labyrinths, but I never thought that there would be a few in my province nor in the one next to me! I will be looking for an event near me! Thanks !!!
Thank you, Jeannine. I'm very glad you've found labyrinths near you to walk. 🌟 You may find an event happening near you on May 3rd by checking out www.worldlabyrinthday.org. 🌈🕊
I too, love labyrinths. One of my favorites is at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. My sister and I attended an overnight Women's Dream Quest there. Filled with powerful female energy, we all sang and walked the labyrinth througout the night. And when it was time to rest, we settled onto our mats on the stone floor (yes, it was a bit hard to sleep on) and drifted into dreamy sleep. The acoustics grabbed the soft snores. We loved it so much we did it again a few years later.
There's a labyrinth near me in Nevada City, California and it's equally as spiritual. I almost forgot until I read your story!
I'm so glad you've had a chance to walk the Chartres labyrinth at Grace Cathedral, and to attend a couple of Judith Tripp's Women's Dream Quests. She's awesome, isn't she?
I trained as a Labyrinth Walk Facilitator at Grace Cathedral in 2017, so I've walked both the labyrinth in the cathedral's sanctuary and the nearby outside labyrinth. I attended a Woman's Dream Quest in November 2019. 🌠 Yes, the floor in the cathedral is quite hard. Didn't get much sleep that night and was glad I didn't have to drive the next day. But it was very lovely waking up to Judith playing "Morning Has Broken" on her flute as our wake-up call. 🎶💜🎵
Oh, how wonderful!!! Grace offers such a sacred space for this work. And I'm so impressed that you trained as a facilitator! Yes, Judith's flute playing was magical. I did this event twice and would love to do it again.
I love that you walk the Labyrinth so regularly, my experience has always been when on retreat. You’ve inspired me to seek to do this more often by using a hand held one.
Thank you Sian! I'm so glad you'll give a handheld labyrinth a try. 😉 There is also a phone app called "Labyrinth Journeys." It has music to go with your walk on an 11 circuit, Chartres-style path, and fills in the path where you've walked. It's definitely good to have for a few minutes of down time. ~:0)
That is one beautiful piece. I love learning more about you every time we connect. Now that I am walking the app before my writing… I can see the Labyrinth
Thank you, Robin! I'm so glad you enjoyed this post & now experience the labyrinth as your Muse, too. 🎨 When we lean into openness on the path, the inspiration flows so easefully. I have the Labyrinth Joureys app, too. 🌠
